G’day mates! Today we are reporting from Wanaka, NZ where we are starting our ski adventure. The last four days we have been staying with our homestay families in the town of Oamaru. Caroline Green and Lucy L. stayed with the Chapman family and played squash, saw penguins and did an enormous amount of food shopping with their family. Ashley R. and Maria L. stayed with he Bradford family and toured the city of Oamaru and experienced the daily life of a local. Danny G., Oli S. and Zach S. went to the Steampunk Museum and learned about New Zealand culture. Wilson H. and Zach L. lived on a farm with the Hunter family and learned about farming. As a group we went penny farthing, traveled to Moeraki Boulders and went to a sheep farm where we learned about herding and shearing sheep. There should be some great snow at Treble Cone Mountain so we will all have a blast. All is well in New Zealand and we are so excited to go skiing and snowboarding!
